Meet Rachel

I learned to love photography from my father who’s an amateur photographer. As a child, I loved to play with his camera and he would show me all the neat buttons and dials.  I learned photography in high school when digital was new and film still reigned. I fell completely in love with the darkroom. Watching an image appear on paper is magic. I went on to get my Associates Degree at the College of Southern Nevada in Commercial Photography. Wedding photography was always my favorite. I’ve always had a love affair with weddings. (All the love, the cake, the puffy dresses, the details and the planning. Oh, the wonderful planning!)

My photography style is a fusion of photojournalism and dramatic fashion. I love funky, dreamy and unconventional imagery. My taste in art leans toward original ideas and unique alternatives. I often dream up crazy ideas and I love working with couples who are daring enough to let me try them out.

As a Boutique studio, photographing only a limited number of weddings a year, I’m able to perfectly balance my family life and my love of photography and weddings. To me, wedding photography is the most challenging and rewarding kind of photography there is. I get to document and be part of the most precious day two people can have. I’ve been photographing wedding professionally for over 6 years and I can’t think of a better job and I’ve never been happier. Thank you for considering me to be your wedding photographer.
